Brief Description of My Research:
My research interest
lies in understanding the molecular action of various endocrine therapies
and mechanisms of resistance in breast cancer in order to develop new strategies
to improve current treatments and prevention strategies. The research in
the laboratory focuses on:
Crosstalk between the estrogen receptor pathway and growth factor and cellular kinase networks.
Estrogen receptor coregulatory proteins.
Regulatory phosphorylation of estrogen receptor and its coregulators.
Identification of molecular profiles and new biomarkers of endocrine resistance.
Investigation of novel signal transduction inhibitors and combination therapies in various pre clinical models of breast cancer to optimize endocrine therapies and to overcome resistance.
