Steffi Oesterreich Laboratory

TRAINING

The Breast Center comprises a unique collection of collegial investigators specializing in different breast cancer areas, such as hormonal regulation, signal transduction, pathology, and biostatistics, who all interact on an almost daily basis. This is obviously a great training environment for a student or postdoctoral fellow who wants to develop into a future cancer researcher.

My lab has weekly data reviews and my office is located within the lab, thus I can be interrupted at any time.

RESOURCES

My laboratory is situated on the 11th floor in the newly built Alkek Tower. It contains state-of-the-art equipment necessary for cutting-edge cell and molecular biology research, as well as animal work.   Additionally, we have access to a number of Core facilities within Baylor College of Medicine and the Breast Center, such as Pathology, FACS, Microarray, Transgenic Core Facility, etc.
